Celebrate With QUEER ART TV:

QUEER ART TV: LLM Learning Moments is a series of educational videos grounded in works from the Lesli-Lohman Museum collection. This series is facilitated by our teaching artists who typically work with gender and sexuality alliances in New York City schools. Each video is accompanied by an activity you can do at home in response to the video and is appropriate for all ages. QUEER ART TV: LLM Learning Moments can also be viewed on our Instagram @leslielohmanmuseum.

LLM Learning Moments: "Greer Lankton" examines the work of Greer Lankton, a multidisciplinary transgender artist who created life-like dolls, as well as illustrations and photographs. Her book MY FACE, which is part of the Leslie-Lohman Museum Collection, features colorful illustrations that depict the artist’s face in various ways, calling to question the artist’s own perception of herself and her identity. Teaching Artist Buzz Slutzky invites viewers to engage with the work by making their own books of self portraits by drawing themselves ten times, ten different ways.
