Steven Menendez: Return to Nature

Friday, November 17, 2017, 6:00 pm - Sunday, November 19, 2017, 6:00 pm

Opening: November 17, 6-8pm
Exhibition: November 18-19, 12-6pm

Clothes can block the flow of energy and symbolically bind us to society and all the constraints that it represents. Being naked in nature, we can lay bare in the beauty of our true selves. Steven Menendez has spent many years seeking natural landscapes away from city life where he could be naked and free. He began documenting his vision of being at one with nature while celebrating the beauty of the human body in his series ‘Return to Nature’. Included in the exhibition will be a selection of images from his archive and rarely seen portraits of his friend and muse Joey Arias.
