Mel Odom Born 1950 American, illustrator Mel Odom's images are ravishingly beautiful and shockingly sensual. His subjects are suspended in dream-like self absorption and his meticulous style lends a magical surrealism to each work. The frank, unfettered sexuality of his art invites the viewer into an ambiance of eroto-romantic fantasy. A much published artist, his work has appeared in OMNI magazine, as well as others, and on the covers of many books including two Nancy Collins books and two Anne Rice books using the pseudonym of Ann Rampling. Playboy named him Illustrator of the Year in 1980. He lives and works in New York City. |
