Marco Silombria Born 1936
Italian, Painter

Italian, painter, sculptor, ceramicist, photographer

Born in 1936 in Savona, Italy, he lives and works in Turin. For a long period of his life Marco Silombria was both a gay artist and a political activist as well as a successful graphic artist working in advertising. He abandoned his successful career as an applied artist and developed a rich artistic career working with many media (photography, sculpture, painting, ceramics), as well as artistic ideas. Characteristic of his oeuvre is his wit as well as his interest in a revival of Greek love and art.
